Math Science Partnership Grants
Worcester County teachers have had the opportunity to participate in Math Science Partnership Grants in environmental science. The courses are taught by Salisbury University professors and consists of approximately 100 hours of instruction over two summers and a school year.

NOAA: BWET Academy
During the school year 2013-2014, Worcester County received a NOAA-BWET grant for teacher professional development. The grant is facilitated by science coordinator Marlyn Barrett and social studies coordinator Josh Fradel and has provided continuous professional development opportunities since Summer 2014. Seven teachers from Snow Hill MS have been able to participate in experiential learning activities to increase their understanding of the Chesapeake Bay. Activities have included guest speaker Tom Horton, field trips to Smith Island and North Bay, and lectures by professors from Salisbury University.
